Kabar gembira bagi pengguna Wordpress, pagi ini ini dapet email dari Matt Mullenweg yang isinya memberitahukan bahwa Wordpress kini telah merilis versi terbaru. Wordpress 3.0 dengan code rilis "Thelonious". Banyak fitur yang ditawarkan termasuk ditambahkannya Themes default baru yang disebut Twenty Ten, lebih dari 1.200 pembaharuan bugs dll.

Bagi yang menggunakan self hosting bisa langsung melakukan upgrade dari Dashboard "WordPress 3.0 is available! Please update now." atau melalui menu Tools > Upgrade. Selain itu, dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, update aplikasi juga bisa dilakukan melalui control panel hosting seperti cPanel, Direct Admin dll.
